Monèt Noelle Marshall is an award-winning cultural strategist, playwright, and director with over a decade of experience using art to drive social justice and community transformation. A graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, she leads projects at the intersection of art, activism, and community building.

As the Founding Artistic Director of MOJOAA Performing Arts Company, Monèt curates and produces work centered on Black playwrights and communities. She is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Grounded Possibilities, an initiative supporting Black artists in environmental justice efforts.

Monèt’s consulting work includes collaborating with organizations like IDEO and the Center for Cultural Power, helping clients navigate cultural strategy and social impact. She has also served as the Artistic Learnings and Grantmaking Manager at Cypress Fund, where she empowered social justice artists across the Carolinas through funding and technical assistance.

Her diverse portfolio includes exhibitions like “Buy My Body and Call It A Ticket” and films such as “prophesy” and “Eat Art,” which explore race, identity, and body politics. Monèt’s work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Dell Shores Foundation Award for Best Screenplay and the Black Spatial Relics Artist Residency. Her vision is rooted in a Southern Black queer feminist lens, emphasizing liberation, joy, and equity.
